Rita has been involved with leading the data and performance measurement related to the Central West Early Palliative Identification Project, access to palliative care for the non-oncology patient population, the CWPCN Annual conference and the LEAP program.

Martha’s nursing career spans 21 years with nursing experiences across multiple health care sectors in various clinical roles with the bulk of her nursing career focused in the community.

Dr. Martin Chasen
Dr. Martin ChasenRegional Clinical Co-Lead
Dr. Martin Chasen is currently the Medical Director of Palliative Care, at WOHS, (William Osler Health System)Brampton. He was previously Medical Director, Palliative Care, at The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre and the Palliative Rehabilitation Program at Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital, Ottawa.

Dr. Michael Gagnon, MB, BCh, BAO, CCFP (PC)Medical Lead
A graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2004, doctor Michael Gagnon completed his three year family medicine residence training in Abington Pennsylvania. As of July 2012 he has been the Medical Director at Bethell House Hospice and continues to do weekly palliative home visits along with running a full time family practice in Bolton.

Dr Naheed Dosani is a passionate and respected advocate for marginalized & vulnerable populations with palliative needs. He serves as a Palliative Care Physician at the Inner City Health Associates (ICHA) and William Osler Health System (WOHS).
